What?

Baton Rouge 2600 Meeting.

When?

The first Friday of each month at 6pm. The next meeting is October 6th, 2023.

Where?

In the LSU Union Building, between the Tiger Pause & McDonald's, next to the payphones. Update: On April 3, 2009, someone from Baton Rouge came to the New Orleans 2600 meeting and told me that this spot is under construction. If someone wants to pick a new spot and get a meeting going in Baton Rouge, please post that info to the forum and I'll update this page. You should also let the 2600 folks know so they update the info printed in the back of the magazine. Update2: There's a DefCon 225 group in Baton Rouge of similar interest. Maybe these two groups can merge.

Why?

2600 Meetings exist as a forum for all interested in technology to meet and talk about events in technology-land, learn, and teach. Meetings are open to anyone of any age or level of expertise.

How do I hack my poor memory?

  1. Program your calendar to remind you of the first Friday each month.
  2. Join the Email List to be reminded about meetings and to converse with your fellow Louisiana hackers. Or if you prefer web-based communication, bookmark the Forum page or add the Forum RSS Feed to your feedreader.

Is Baton Rouge the only place to meet hackers?

Nope. The folks behind 2600 Magazine started the meeting idea. Check out their meetings happening around the world.
